The Diocese of Mendi has unveiled the logo that will be used for the Golden Jubilee of the diocese which was launched (a few days early) on 4 November 2015. The Diocese of Mendi was established 15 November 1966 - together with several other Papua New Guinea dioceses.

People from across the wide expanse of the Diocese of Mendi gathered together at the Cathedral of Mother of the Divine Shepherd for a multi-layered celebration of joy upon joy.
In time for the upcoming Jubilee of Mercy, the Shrine of Divine Mercy, was recently dedicated by the Apostolic Nuncio to Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands, Archbishop Michael Banach in the Archdiocese of Mount Hagen.
The people of Saint Pius X Parish, Wiliame came out in great numbers to welcome Bishop Donald along the road leading to the main mission station of this rurul parish nestled in the pristine mountains of the Southern Highlands of Papua New Guinea.
The Ambassador of the United States of America to Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu, His Excellency Walter North visited Mendi. Ambassador North was received at the airport by an enthusiastic crowd of hundreds of parishioners,
Thousands of people gathered at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Det, Southern Highlands Province for a colourful and inspiring celebration of faith and culture.
Sister Zita, FSDP is the Mother General of the Franciscan Sisters of Divine Providence based in Baldegg, Switzerland. She, together with Sister Nadia, FSDP arrived in Mendi a few days ago to conduct an official visitation of their Sisters who serve in the Diocese of Mendi.
